Mellifluous Exercise

As many people I know, you think you know but you have no idea. I’m holding the fort down but it’s real in the field. Field nigga, field
mob, I’m still alone in my mind trying to hold down this facade.
Through the rain, pain, struggle, fight, and strain I will remain
standing throughout this hurricane. My sweetness will remain like a
sugar cube in the strain-er, I will melt my heart away in the pain.
Sweetness in the gutter down the drain. I tried to hold it together
but I will never be the same. You took my sweetness for a weakness.
Now I have melted away, I was a sugar cube, now I’m just mixed with
everything that I used to disdain!
